A day in Brussels with Ile de France Europe

Thanks to an invitation from Ile de France Europe, the La Transplanisphère team travelled to Brussels to present and share its european, educational projects. It was a day full of meetings during which the artistic director of the company, Bruno Freyssinet, and the project manager of the O_live project, Mara Kalantzi, had the opportunity to present the O_live project, which reflects the company’s European work in the field of education through the arts, and particularly theatre.

They discussed how O_live provides educational workshops designed to foster students’ civic engagement and encourage intercultural dialogue through a combination of theater and sport.

In more detail the program we followed was the following:

In the morning, the team met with representatives from the European Education and Culture Executive Agency and Education (EACEA).This offered an excellent platform to highlight the results of our projects and gather insights on future Europe Creative calls for proposals that align with our arts and education initiatives.

Later in the day, Ile de France Europe organized a workshop with representatives from 10 European regions eager to learn more about our projects. During this event Mara Kalantzi shared the O_live project results and the method developed in a more playfull way. Through this way, the participants had the opportunity to get to know in a more experiential and direct way the essence and tools of the project selected and supported by the cooperation partnerships, by Erasmus+.
